Amos Tyndall is a highly regarded criminal trial lawyer who appears regularly in state and federal courts throughout North Carolina.

Amos represents people accused of a wide variety of serious criminal offenses. He has won acquittals in cases ranging from minor drug offenses to first degree murder. Amos has argued successfully for reversals in criminal appeals before the North Carolina Court of Appeals, the North Carolina Supreme Court, and the United States Court of Appeal for the Fourth Circuit. He is admitted to the United States Supreme Court.

Amos writes regularly about criminal practice, criminal justice issues, and trial advocacy. He has taught trial advocacy with the Trial Lawyer’s College, the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, and at local law schools’ trial advocacy courses.

Amos is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell, listed in Super Lawyers since 2010, and recognized in Best Lawyers in America® from 2013- present for General Criminal Defense. Amos is also named Best Lawyers® 2021 Lawyer of the year for General Criminal Defense in the Raleigh Metro Area.
