Deanna is an accomplished trial lawyer who has represented individuals and business clients in state and federal courts in a variety of disputes for nearly three decades.  A former partner at one of North Carolina’s largest law firms, Deanna has argued cases in the majority of North Carolina’s 100 counties and has tried cases across the State. 

Deanna has significant experience in health care litigation, representing physicians, hospitals, and other health care providers in civil litigation and administrative proceedings, as well as advising those clients on risk management issues that help them avoid costly disputes before they occur.  Having represented health care providers for over 25 years, Deanna has an expansive knowledge of the law and medicine necessary to defend complex cases, as well as an understanding of the impact a lawsuit has on doctors, nurses and others who have spent years building a career based on caring for patients. 

Deanna has represented parties in a variety of business disputes involving contract, tort, and employment issues.  She also has broad appellate experience, having appeared before the North Carolina Court of Appeals and Supreme Court.
