Edward Eldred is an experienced trial and appellate lawyer who focuses his practice on the local district courts and civil and criminal appeals before the North Carolina Appellate Courts and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Ed has been listed in Super Lawyers as an appellate lawyer since 2020.
Ed’s experience includes clerking for two judges at the North Carolina Court of Appeals, practicing with a large firm in Raleigh, managing his own practice for thirteen years, and practicing with a firm in Chapel Hill specializing in criminal defense.
Ed has argued hundreds of matters in the local criminal and civil district courts and briefed over 200 appeals. He has argued before the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court and won reversals for clients in a variety of civil and criminal matters, including:
