Parry Law Sponsors Uproar Festival of Public Art

Parry Law is proud to be one of the contributing sponsors supporting this year’s “Uproar” Festival of Public Art, presented by the Orange County Arts Commission.

The Uproar festival is an annual event that began in 2023. This year’s festival showcased sixty outdoor works of art, which were on display from August 1-23 in public areas throughout downtown Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and Hillsborough. Free maps were provided for residents and visitors to search out the art, with cash prizes awarded to participating artists based on public voting and a panel of experts. More than 140 artists from throughout the southeast applied to be a part of Uproar. 60 artists were selected from six states: North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama.

Uproar is the first public art festival of its kind in the State, and we are proud to have been able to support the fine work of these artists and the Commission.
